If We Were Having Coffee...

Hello!

I've been seeing this type of post popping a lot recently and quite frankly I love it. It's a nice little twist on the whole about me kinda thing. Something which I am terrible at, as you can see by my own informative about me section.

My wonderful friend and straight up amazing human being, Lucie, tagged me in her post - which you should read right now. It is a lot more interesting than mine is going to be. Trust me.

So, get ready to hear some snippets of some of the rubbish I would tell you if we went for a cup of coffee. For the record, I will have flat white, even if my camera roll on my phone says I love cappuccinos (they are so damn pretty to be fair.)

If we were having coffee…

I would tell you about my work and the fact that after a good year at my job, I am sadly being let go. All on good-ish terms though. Of course I am incredibly gutted and basically a mix of every emotion known to man but I am excited to see what challenge I take on next.

A couple of years ago I had no idea what I wanted to do in life but now I have more of a goal in mind and a good load of experience behind me.

Plus I am going to have more time to play my PS4 (joke, I am going to be a full time job hunting machine.)

If we were having coffee...

I would tell you about my obsession with all things horror related. From films, TV programs, stories and even real life paranormal stuff, it is something I am quite passionate about. I also love a good conspiracy theory discussion.

Way back in my Ladbrokes days, I was chatting to a colleague and some how the discussion turned to books and documentaries on serial killers. Turned out we were both a little obsessed with them. Of course we then spent a good few hours discussing the subject. I always like finding someone who enjoys the creepier side of life.

I'll probably try persuade you to go on a ghost walk with me or have a horror move marathon.

If we were having coffee...

This is probably not the deer that caused me great distress FYI

I would tell you about my many accidents in life. Mainly because some of them are so darn ridiculous, like the time I fell into a ditch on sports day or the time I broke my nose during the middle of class. I was swinging on a chair and a table.... long story.

One of my all time favourite "Emily hurts herself" story is when I went to feed some deer with my family. It was all going well till one of the deer decided to sneeze just as I had some food out on my hand. Bam, everything goes into my eye and a day later I woke up to find I had conjunctivitis. Yes, a deer gave me conjunctivitis.

If we were having coffee...

I would tell you about my blog. Let's be honest, it is not the best damn blog in the world but it is extremely important to me. I may neglect it from time to time but knowing it is sitting there waiting for me, my little part of the internet, is a nice comfort.

I've grown a lot over the year and I think my blog has helped with that a lot. I went from someone who was shy, unmotivated and directionless to someone who is, well, still some of those things at times but a lot more confident and knowing what they kind of want to do in life.

My blog also introduced me to a whole different world from what I was used to and with that came some truly amazing friends. It also showed me that I'm not as alone as I thought I was.

If we were having coffee...

I would tell you how I have never seen The Goonies before and you will probably spit out coffee your and leave.

Like any good blog thing like this, I need to tag a few people to do this post next (if you want). So hello - Louise, Katie, Kim & Helen, Bethany & Erin

Till the next time!

  2. This was a great post to read! I like this take on 'about me' posts :) it's an really interesting way to get to know more about the person behind the blog :) I adore the creepier side of life and would most definitely love to meet someone to have a horror marathon with! I have never been on a ghost walk and it's something that I really want to do! Oh gosh, you got conjunctivitis from a deer!?? I am very prone to hurting myself because I'm super clumsy but I definitely can't top that! XD Lovin' your boots by the way! x
