OOTD: It's Vintage Darling

Hello!

Its felt like a while since I have done an OOTD post. When I first started this blog the plan was to be all fashion based but obviously that has changed in the two years FranklyMsShankly has been around. Mainly because I can never really be that bothered to get pictures of any outfits I wear. Don't get me wrong, I love a selfie, but when it comes to someone taking my photo for me, I just freeze up big time.

However when the sun is shining and you have a lovely vintage dress on, it would be wrong to not do a few OOTD style pictures!

Dress: Vintage
Boots: New Look
Bag: Primark

I found this dress hiding away in the back of my wardrobe and I couldn't believe that I had managed to forget all about it. I believe I bought it some time last year from Armstrong in Edinburgh and it really is a gorgeous little number. Being on the curvy side of life, I love how this dress covers the parts I am most self concious about whilst nipping me in at the waist.

I've actually been avoiding dresses recently due to slight weight gain, so I was so happy to find this one still fits me. In the past I have always worn it during the summer with sheer tights and flat shoes but I was loving the more witchy vibes I was getting from the black tights and chunky boots. I think my mission for this year is to get back on the vintage train again and find more interesting and unusual pieces like this dress!

Alas I am still carrying about that awful bag. I honestly think I've started to despise it with a passion so the hunt is now on to find something new. I'm so picky when it comes to handbags, all I want is a nice slouchy bag. If anyone has any tips on where I can get a good but reasonably priced one, let me know.

Just realised my leg has slightly blended into my shadow....

Massive thank you to the lovely Karlie Simmonds, the lady behind The Swag Guide, for taking my pictures. I recently started a new job at LetsJoin as a food & drink contributor and get to work alongside her. We may have became each other's OOTD photographers now!

Till the next time!
