OOTD: Everyday Is Halloween with Dr. Martens

Hello!

Halloween is over for one more year and the Christmas chat is already starting. However, I refuse to move on from my favourite time of the year.

Letting your spooky self out doesn't need to be restricted to one month a year. Let's be creepy all year round.

What better way to keep the Halloween spirit alive but with a skeleton themed outfit!
During my few weeks of lying in bed and feeling sorry for myself, I did a little bit of internet shopping. Can you really blame me?

Since it was October it meant that every clothing store had spooky themed clothing. This is perfect for me since it means I can stock up on the type of clothes I love. Anything with bats, skeletons or blood splatters will always go down a treat.

This Boohoo number caught my eye straight away. Yes, it was all Halloweeny but I was also left baffled and intrigued by what those skeleton hands are doing. Are they doing the 'okay' sign or are they pinching my nips? You decide.

I fell in love with it instantly and you have probably seen it many a time now on social media. I didn't think I would find anything more perfect for this time of the year till the famous Dr Martens got in contact with me.

To celebrate the creepiest time of the year Dr Martens had teamed up with scary specialists, The Dungeons, to give their customers a spooky in-store experience.

The Dungeon's very own shoe shiner was in store. He told me he could tell a lot about a person from their shoes and then went on to say how messy my own shoes are....

In the store, Dr Martens had some amazingly spooky boots on offer for Halloween and that is how I gave my cold heart away to a pair boots.

Ladies and gentleman, I introduce to you - Skelly. Yes, these glorious boots now belong to my feet* and I have never been happier. I remember getting my first pair of Docs when I was a kid and I couldn't stop wearing them (they also reminded me of smarties due to the print...)

Since then my feet have been lacking DMs until now. The Skelly has all the classic features of Docs but with an added spooky twist. The skeletal foot design is so cool and totally right up my street. I am pretty sure 15 year old emo Emily is pretty jealous of her 25 year old self...

Want to hear something even better about these boots? THEY GLOW IN THE DARK. Seriously.

Remember those trainers that lit up whilst walking? Well yeah, these boots blow those guys right out the water.

So what do you do when you have found two perfect everyday Halloween items? You bring them together for an OOTD post of course!

Dress - Boohoo
Jacket - Primark
Bag - Hallhuber
Necklace - Forever 21
Boots - Dr Martens
Sunglasses - Vintage

"But is this outfit really going to work after Halloween has passed?" Well yeah. the season of 'joy' (or ridiculous amount of stress) is about to take over but that doesn't mean you have to keep your spooky self hidden. Shove on a jolly red hat and you have a goth Santa. Perfect.

Seriously though, don't let those amazing "Halloween" clothes go to waste now that October has past. You need to go full on creeper but adding a little dash is always fun!

Everyday is and will always be Halloween to me!

Massive thank you to Dr Martens and Edinburgh Dungeons for the spooktacular afternoon.

Till the next time!

X
